Download the App
Visit remitly.com and get the Remitly app from the App Store or Google Play. It's free to download and ready to use.

Create an Account
Sign up with your email or phone number. You can choose to verify your ID immediately or later.

Verify Your Identity
Upload a government-issued document like an ID, Passport, Driver's License or a bankc statement wihich is up-to-date. Verification is typically completed within minutes for a secure experience.

Why Remitly?
Global Access
Unlike PayPal, Cash App, Wise, Zelle, and Venmo, Remitly operates in my region (Uganda, Africa), where these platforms are restricted.
Rapid Transfers
On your side, the setup is quick, and I normally receive the payment within 5 minutes. This bypasses the long wait times of my other option which is a bank transfer.
